Rooney Aspires For Captainship

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has claimed that he wants to be the new captain of Manchester United. After the departures of Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic, Rooney is one of the senior players at the club has been playing for them for a long time. The appointment of Louis van Gaal appeared to make Robin van Persie the number one striker at the club. The Dutchman has a great relationship with the former Bayern Munich and Barcelona manager, who is in charge of the Dutch national team now.

ROBBEN: NOT EASY

Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has claimed that the German outfit have their work cut out against Manchester United in the Champions League, despite the poor form of the English club.

After the first managerial change in 26 years, United have been struggling for form under David Moyes. They have slipped to seventh in the table, which would have been unthinkable during the years of Ferguson. Even though they have had some great results against Bayern Munich over the years, this United team are expected to struggle against the German outfit.
