DE JONG LOOKING FORWARD

The midfielder of AC Milan, Nigel De Jong, has said that he is eagerly waiting for his team’s upcoming match against Juventus which is going to be played on Sunday.

Juventus is currently at the top of the Serie A points table with 32 points in 14 matches. On the other hand, AC Milan hasn’t performed that well in the league so far. Milan has played 14 matches in the ongoing Serie A League so far and has managed to win only five of them. Milan has lost 6 matches and the rest three games have ended in the form of draws. Milan currently has only 18 points.

However, Milan performed pretty well in its last game against Anderlacht. That was a Champions League clash and Milan won it by a profound margin of 3-1. With the help of that victory, Milan made its way into the final 16 of the Champions League.

Talking to the reporters ahead of the match against Juventus, De Jong said, “I am super excited for this match. They have played some outstanding football in this season and every team has struggled against them. They are undoubtedly one of the best teams in the competition and if we manage to pull off a victory against them, it would do our confidence a world of good.”

When asked about Milan’s below par performance in the ongoing season, De Jong said, “We have had a poor start to the season, but, I think we have bounced back quite nicely in the last few games. Especially, our performance in the last match was quite fantastic. Most of the players of the team are in good touch at the moment and I think tomorrow’s match is going to be a thrilling one.”
