CAVANI RETURNS FROM BAN FOR BURNLEY

Uruguayan international Edinson Cavani has returned from ban to take his place in the Manchester United squad for the Burnley game on Tuesday night. The Clarets host Manchester United in a rescheduled week on game in the Premier League. Manchester United and Manchester City were exempted from playing their respective week one fixtures with the other teams at the start of the season after they were granted an extra one-week rest due to their involvement in the latter stages of European club competitions last season. Both Manchester United and Manchester City didn’t finish their European campaigns until August.

EdinsonCavani has missed the last three games for his team in all competitions after he was slapped with a three-match ban and also fined for his post on Instagram towards the end of last year. He was found guilty of aiding racist behaviour through his post and has missed the last three games as a result. The ex-Paris Saint Germain (PSG), Napoli and Palermo attacker missed the Wolves, Aston Villa and Watford games which took place at the Theatre of Dreams.

FANS PRAISE BAILLY AFTER SLIM WIN

Manchester United fans were full of praise for injury prone defender Eric Bailly after his display during the slim win over Wolves in one of the Matchweek 16 games played on Tuesday night. Eric Bailly produced a very good performance for the Red Devils to help the former Premier League champions to a 1-0 victory over Wolves. Marcus Rashford scored the winning goal in the dying monents of the game. Ivorian international centre back Eric Baillystarted his second successive league game during the home clash with Wolves and he went on to produce a very good display thus leading his team to an important win in the race for the league title.

Eric Bailly has suffered from several injuries during his time at Old Trafford and that has been the major reason behind his lack of match action.  The Ivorian player has not featured much for Manchester United this season due to his injury woes and the Red Devils fans would be hoping that he stays fit after showing a lot of his qualities in the last two league games. He was in the starting XI as Manchester United played out a 2-2 draw at the home of Leicester City in their last Premier League outing before the Wolves game at Old Trafford.
