CITY STAND NO CHANCE

Former France coach Raymond Domenech says that he does not expect Manchester City to even come close to beating Paris St Germain in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The two teams have been pitched against each other for the first time in European football history. City are second favourites going into the game since they have little experience of the latter stages of this competition.

This is the first time that they have reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Supporters of the club, though, think that they will be able to make a major impact due to the presence of world-class players like Sergio Aguero and Yaya Touré.

Napoli are Main Rivals of Juventus

AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus have historically been the main teams that have charged for the league title, Serie A, but in recent times AC Milan and Inter Milan have struggled trying to make a genuine charge for the Italian piece of silverware while Juventus on the other hand have continued playing at a consistently high level.

Juventus

Juventus have successively won the Italian league title since the season of 2012-13 and are currently positioned at the top.

Louis Van Gaal is ecstatic that his side is back

Louis Van Gaal is ecstatic that his side is back in the Premiership with some fine performances recently.

The Red Devils are now a real contender for Champions League qualification as they have managed to close in the gap of points between them and the teams at the top spots in the table.

The results of some of the other matches have gone in their favour yes and that has helped them a great deal in improving their position, but, they themselves have played pretty well too.

They have got as many points as the 4th positioned Manchester City now and just 4 points less than Arsenal which is no. 3.

According to Van Gaal, there is not much difference in the quality of the sides in the domestic league in England and on a given day, any side can be beaten by any other side in this competition and that’s what keeps it so tight all the time.
