EXPECT MORE

Manchester United star Wayne Rooney has said that people can expect more from him in the future, as there is scope for a lot of improvement in his game. Wayne Rooney has just scored his 30th league goal of the season.

He is set to become the major factor for Manchester United in the race for winning the 20th Premier league title.

However, he was criticised by Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson after the 4-0 win over Aston Villa that Rooney should not be casual during the matches. Rooney responded by saying that there is still scope for improvement in his game.

Even though he scored two goals in the match – including a penalty, Rooney has said that he completely agrees with the comments made by Sir Alex Ferguson after the Aston Villa match. The 4-0 win restored the five-point advantage for Manchester United at the top of the table with only a few Premier league matches remaining in the season. The latest premier league betting odds makes United firm favourites to win their 20th title.

Rooney did not have the chance to complete his hat-trick against Aston Villa as he was substituted for Dimitar Berbatov in the 74th minute. He was once again substituted in the 1-0 defeat at the hands of Wigan in the previous match.

“I’m delighted with my goals against Villa, but at times it was not good enough from myself. I was disappointed with that and I have to put it right. Obviously, I’m happy with the goals, but the rest of my play wasn’t great. We were disappointed with our performance against Wigan but Villa was a chance to get it out of our systems,” Rooney said.

Manchester United will be facing Everton in the next Premier league match following which they will be travelling to the Etihad stadium on April 30. This fixture could very much determine the winner of the title.
