The interest of the Gunners in Dakawas revealed by the publication from the Daily Express. The North London giants see the Zambian player as the long-term replacement for Alexandre Lacazette. They must fend off Premier League rivals Liverpool and Manchester United to sign the 22-year-old attacker.

Frenchman Lacazette has one year to go on his existing Arsenal contract and the club would be expected to sell him this summer to prevent a situation where the player will leave the club on a free transfer at the end of his Arsenal deal in 2022. Apart from Lacazette, there are reports that fellow striker Eddie Nketiah could also leave the Gunners this summer.

Arsenal would have to sign a new striker if the duo of Nketiah and Lacazette leave the Gunners this summer. To this effect, the club is monitoring the situation of the abovementioned Dakaat his Austrian Bundesliga club. Manchester United and Liverpool also have the player under consideration ahead of the resumption of the summer’s transfer window.

Daka is the main man at Red Bull Salzburg after replacing Borussia Dortmund attacker ErlingHaaland at the Austrian Bundesliga outfit. He has been the major source of goals at Salzburg since the exit of Haaland. The Norwegian international left Salzburg last year January to sign for Dortmund.

Zambia attacker has 31 goals and 10 assists in 37 games in all competitions for Red Bull Salzburg this term and it’s not a surprise that the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United want to sign him.
